Fiqh as-Sunna (German)
Fiqh-us-Sunnah (Vols. I-V)

About the Author

As-Sayyid Sabiq is famous the world over for his book (set of volumes) entitled Fiqh us-Sunnah, which has been translated and studied in many languages. Fiqh us-Sunnah is a complete, yet very concise, manual of fiqh (Islamic law or Shari‘ah) presented in a highly readable format with clear, simple language and with no preferential treatment given to any one of the four Sunni madh-habs over another. The author was encouraged to write the book by Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, who recognized as-Sayyid Sabiq’s unique ability to understand fiqh issues and explain them.

As-Sayyid Sabiq was born in Egypt in 1915. He memorized the Noble Qur’an by the age of nine and was a graduate of Al-Azhar, where he later taught. He also taught at Umm al-Qura Islamic University in Makkah. He died in February 2000 CE.
