About the Author Dr. Jamal Badawi is a Canadian author and speaker, and he has been an active caller to Islam for decades. He is the author of several books and pamphlets on Islam. He also wrote and presented 352 episodes of a television program about the teachings of Islam which aired in Canada, the USA, and other countries. Born in Egypt, Dr. Badawi relocated to Canada after completing Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in the USA, in Business Administration. He spent much of his teaching career as a professor in the Departments of Religious Studies and Management at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has been the director of the Islamic Information Foundation (based in Halifax), been a member of the Fiqh Council of North America and the European Council for Fatwa and Research, and served on the board of CAIR-Canada (Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations). |
